John Henry Spooner and Strange Fruit

Jesus wept.

A racist old bastard named John Henry Spooner decided that his black neighbor’s 13 year old son, Darius Simmons, must have stolen his guns. The police searched the kid’s house and found nada. It also turns out the child was in school all day when the guns disappeared. The racist old bastard John Henry Spooner was dying of lung caner, probably on pain-killing opioids which screw with memory, and his relatives were in and out of his place … but that racist old bastard John Henry Spooner just KNEW that the black boy next door was a thief. Evidence be damned! Darius was black: of course he stole things from old white people!

So the filthy cuntmonkey of an old racist bastard walked over to his neighbor’s yard and gunned a 13 year old little boy down in cold blood in front of his mother.

Then there is the unholy way the cops treated the victim and his family:

“After police arrived, Darius’s body remained on the sidewalk, while police questioned his mother, Patricia Larry, in a squad car for approximately two hours.
During the police investigation of the shooting, they searched Ms. Larry’s home again. Finding nothing, they then proceeded to arrest his older brother for having truancy tickets.
In contrast, Spooner’s family was allowed to go into the home and remove “items” despite it being [part of] the crime scene.
John Spooner was given a $300,000 bail, (only $30,000 would have to be posted for him to be free). This is uncommon when the charge is murder in the first degree.”

So the police come to the crime scene, see an armed white asshole and a dead black child, and they respond by leaving the murdered boy on the sidewalk like carrion while they lock his mother in a squad car and interrogate her in the midst of her heart-rending agony. Then they drag away her surviving son for truancy tickets. All the while treating a racist murdering piece of shit, John Henry Spooner, like he’s something special just because his ass is white. That is so inhumanly monstrous it is hard for me to wrap my mind around. The racism is too common to startle me, but the callousness of locking a mom up just feet from her murdered child is beyond what I thought even the most corrupt of police would be capable of.

To the cops who did such a heinous thing: you are not the good guys; you are not peace officers; you are gun thugs and heartless scum hiding behind badges you do not deserve.

Of course, the “fair and balanced” local FOX news affiliate initially proffered a headline: Man allegedly kills neighbor over theft. As you are all aware, in Faux news world any white guy gunning down a black kid was simply defending himself or protecting property that is worth more than any black child’s life. However, as details came out in the real news, Fox 11 changed it’s tune a little in an article titled, Family of slain Wis. teen says boy was no thief.

Uh, oh! Turns out Darius was, in the parlance of racist asshats, “one of the good ones” and that means there is no way for anyone to spin John Henry Spooner decision to murder a child as anything but a travesty and a nightmare! Golly, one could feel sorry for the poor widdle racist goat blowers.

But I can’t, because my heart is too busy breaking in sympathy for Darius Simmon’s mother, Patricia Larry. I am so very, very sorry for her loss.
