Rush Limbaugh is on a constant mission to prove himself to be one of the most disgusting slime demons to crawl across the swamp of racist thought. His latest high note has been his fervent hope that Hurricane Isaac would kill off a lot of poor “citizen of New Orleans” (read: code for Black People) and leave the state more Republican.
His “plan” is to have Mitt Romney’s sons drop piles of money on the levees, which “will accomplish a couple things. A, it’ll show we care. “We have sent money directly to New Orleans, in bags at the levees.” The second thing that will happen is that citizens in New Orleans, when they find out there’s money in those bags, will head down there and try to steal the bags, steal the money, at which time the levees will fail because the bags are being taken away.”
You know, because the “citizens of New Orleans” are thieves who are too stupid to see that moving the levee-money will kill them! Ha-ha! How funny! Code words for Black people and the pretense that “they” are all thieves and imbeciles and it is so jolly when they die! My gracious, no one has told that one in so long!
Rush then points out how good all that death would be, since “In the process, the Republicans succeed in having fewer Democrat voters in Louisiana again.” Democrats don’t deserve to live. Who knew? Also, Louisiana has become a “blue” state in Rush-land. Who knew? I mean, LA has gone to the GOP in 3 out of the last 4 presidential elections and has a Republican governor, but Rush has never let a fact get in his way before.
Then, like the pile of chickenshit he is, he tried to act as though he was just exaggerating because “That’s what the media told us Republicans did with Katrina.” Yeah, pointing out that Bush’s administration didn’t seem to give a shit about poor people or black people is TOTALLY the same thing as claiming it was a conspiracy to murder Democrats via a stealthily directed hurricane.
This is a logical fallacy called a “false equivalence”. It says that Team A declares Team B doesn’t care about X and Y, therefore Team A is saying Team B has been killing X and Y. It is not only bullshit, it’s bullshit he is using to cover the fact his rhetoric is racist and vile.

It never ceases to amaze me that Rush has listeners, other than people who would use his outrageously fraudulent statements to be utterly amusing ironic examples of idiocy. You know, like Stephen Colbert’s schtick. I mean, seriously — Obama influenced weathermen and -women nationwide, forcing them to recommend cancelling the first day of the convention??
Would that Obama DID have this kind of power — maybe he could cancel Bimbaugh’s radio contract (and make the IRS audit every tax return Bimbaugh ever turned in…). Wouldn’t THAT be fun??
The fact that Bimbaugh is still on the radio proves that Obama doesn’t have the kind of wide-reaching conspiratorial power Bimbaugh ascribes to him. Sadly.
