Trolls and health bullshit

Sometimes the trolling fat-hate stories just cluster together, like hemorrhoids on the anus of our culture. This was one of those weeks. First, some dipshit knuckle-dragging asshat feels it is both his privilege and his duty to troll a news anchor via email over the fact her body wasn’t slim enough in his opinion. WHY did this twatwaffle think this was a good thing to do? For the children of course!  Because seeing a woman who got married and has a good job even though she is not thin can warp little girls minds for life by insinuating that being fat is not the worst thing in the world. These little girls would then get fat, and die early, because fat is completely unhealthy regardless of any medical evidence to the contrary, which the troll couldn’t be bothered to read anyway.

Then, some douche named Stephen J. Betchen, who has a Ph.D but manages to sound stupid anyway, wrote about the agony he experiences by having to see fat chicks in the grocery store. What really, really hurts him is that these women have *gasp* beautiful faces and are young … but they have dared to “let themselves go” and become fatties! He makes all the obligatory noise about “health” so that his sexist bigotry is suitably obscured, but it is obvious that what is really bothering him is that these women aren’t thinking about HIM when they go out. He is a member of the patriarchy, and he has been assured since birth that a woman’s worth equals however much he finds her attractive. These women are not keeping their end of the patriarchal contract! Don’t they understand that it is their JOB to remain attractive to as many men as possible? Nonetheless, gentleman that he is, he relieves the chubby gals of their culpability; he blames their men for not giving them enough love. You know, like the bad behavior of children is blamed on the parents. Women are like children, in that if they don’t get enough love and reinforcement from real adults/parental figures (i.e people with wieners/patriarchy) then they will be naughty, where “naughty” means letting their thighs get all squishy or some repulsive shit like that.

Meanwhile, 81% of ten year old girls are afraid they might get fat one day, and thus be horrible repulsive things no one will ever love.  The rate of kids under the age of 12 being hospitalized for eating disorders has increased 119% since 1999. Let me assure you, any stupid trolling goat blowers who might read this, that the last thing any female needs is to be “reminded” she might be too fat for patriarchal approval.

Hell, even Disney has gotten into the act of fat-shaming little girls, lest they grow up to be unacceptably big women.  Meet their new “fashion” Minnie Mouse:

Barneys Disney Minnie Mouse Lanvin

It’s always nice when kids get an extra dose of the cultural message, “If you aren’t super-thin, you aren’t pretty and if you aren’t pretty you are not valuable or loveable”. If they manage to avoid it because of the diligent efforts of their parents, they can always count on some troll “expressing concern for their health” later in life.

Trolls can take their “concern” and shove it where the sun don’t shine.

    Yeah. What she said!

  2. Skye says:

Don’t these people have anything real to do with their time? Sheesh. And I’m sure they are the absolute ideal of manhood, complete with six-pack abs. Because we women shouldn’t have to see men who are less than ideal. It might warp us into thinking a man is something more than his abs.

  3. Selina says:

Minnie needs a burger and chips

  4. I think my favorite line is, “dipshit knuckle-dragging asshat.” Can we add that addlebrained Todd Akin to your list? Where is the link to that list anyway?

  5. It’s hard for a grown woman to fight the bullshit propaganda. Little girls will need significant help in that direction from strong mothers and how many of them will get that?
    Heart breaking.

  6. Maybe Disney have forgotten that the “Minnie” in “Minnie Mouse” is short for “Minerva”: it’s not an abbreviation of “minuscule”!

  7. Robin says:

Did you hear that the troll who sent that e-mail to the news anchor has ‘challenged’ her to lose weight ‘for the kids’? And he’s offered to help her do it. I’d like to park a metaphorical ‘knee’ in his ‘brain’.

  8. i saw that minnie a while back and it scared me.

also i love your definition of naughty. this a fantastic post and i adore you so much. **KISS**
