I could not make this shit up

There is some knuckle-dragging asshat politician in Arkansas named Charlie Fuqua who has written a book in which he advocates parents being allowed to seek legal proceedings to have their “rebellious children” executed by the government.  Arkansas is a state that is clearly jealous of Missouri’s Todd Akin and wanted to show they could elect someone every bit as dumb, because this asshat has been in their House of Representatives and served on the Children and Families Committee.

OMG.

Fuqua, who is anti-choice because he thinks abortion is the murder of children and he has no ability to comprehend hypocrisy and/or irony, says that parents having their children killed for disrespecting them is totally okay for a Christian like himself because it is Biblical: “The guidelines for administering the death penalty to rebellious children are given in Deut 21:18-21”. Well, okay then. You know what else is Biblical, Mutha Fuqua?  Raping women and murdering children if they are not members of your religion or are enemies of your nation, as laid out in Isaiah 13: 15-16 “Every one that is found shall be thrust through; and every one that is joined [unto them] shall fall by the sword. Their children also shall be dashed to pieces before their eyes; their houses shall be spoiled, and their wives ravished” and in 1 Samuel 15:3 “Now go and smite Amalek, and utterly destroy all that they have, and spare them not; but slay both man and woman, infant and suckling, ox and sheep, camel and ass.” How convenient that Fuqua has forgotten, as a Christian, that Jesus overrode those texts and other violent texts like them with his insistence that God would prefer that you love your neighbor as yourself. Way to follow the teachings of Jesus, Fuqua!

But fear not! Fuqua is not a monster! He doubts the law would have to be used hardly at all. It is just important that it is there, because “Even though this procedure would rarely be used, if it were the law of land, it would give parents authority. Children would know that their parents had authority and it would be a tremendous incentive for children to give proper respect to their parents.”

You know who else uses this bullshit argument? Islamic extremists, that’s who. For example, when five ‘rebellious children’ (they were girls in their teens) were murdered because they were not obeying their parents demands, an hard-line Muslim politician defended it, and said, “”Only those who indulge in immoral acts should be afraid.” Knowingly or not, Fuqua basically wants to set up a “Christian” version of sharia law.  But I am sure that Fuqua, who advocates driving all Muslims out of American based on his misinformation about the religion and his unthinking embrace of the brutal double standard of Western media coverage for extremist ideology and crimes, cannot see that he has far more in common with the radical fundamentalists of that religion than he does with a liberal Christian like myself, whom he considers an “antichrist”.

Religious extremists of any kind, including that twatwaffle Fuqua and his ilk, terrify me because they are more than willing to kill ANYONE who does not obey their rigid views on morality and worship – and they are especially fond of killing women and children.  I am a woman. I have daughters. I also have firearms.

Fair warning, Fuqua and Fuqua wannbes: if you EVER try to come for my girls because they are ‘rebellious’ (i.e. non-patriarchy serving) let me assure you that I will go Old Testament on your ass as only a Hillbilly Mom can.  You will wish for the Wrath of God because that will seem mild in comparison. Understand?
