Holy God, I did not KNOW you could have politicians so batshit crazy you could make both Texas AND Kentucky look like they vote for normal people. Nevertheless, Arkansas has done it. The state whose motto is “The People Rule” has brought forth another douche-nozzle spewing word-poo where God and Man can have a clear understanding of the mind-toilet that produced it.
The most lately revealed Horseman of the Crapocalypse is Rep. Loy Mauch. This asinine twatwaffle does not even have the sense to keep his racist pabulum to the socially acceptable level of innuendo and code words. Nope. This avowed “Neo-confederate” has written multiple letters to the Arkansas Democratic-Gazette newspaper calling Abraham Lincoln a Marxist war criminal and defending the institution of slavery.
One of his most precious gems was this bit, which I would not have accepted in a fictional work where a writer was trying to present an antagonist who was so racist and demented that the reader would forced to like the protagonist because I would have considered the dialog to be too unbelievable:
“Nowhere in the Holy Bible have I found a word of condemnation for the operation of slavery, Old or New Testament. If slavery was so bad, why didn’t Jesus, Paul or the prophets say something?
This country already lionizes Wehrmacht leaders. They go by the names of Lincoln, Grant, Sherman, Sheridan, Custer, etc. These Marxists not only destroyed the Constitution they were sworn to uphold, but apostatized the word of God. Either these depraved infidels or the Constitution and Scriptures are in error. I’m more persuaded by the word of God.”
I would like to say, as a Christian, that I am fed up to the back teeth with these morons using the term “Christian” to describe themselves. Frankly, the Bible can be used to “validate” their bullshit because there are some verses so monstrous that they would justify any atrocity (see yesterday’s post for a few examples). However, Jesus railed against hypocrites who followed the letter of the laws but no the spirit of God’s love, and point blank said the most IMPORTANT thing to do was to Love God and Love Your Neighbor. This is the override command function for Christians. If you don’t embrace that then you are a Christianist, who simply uses your religion as a tool of oppression and domination for your own aggrandizement.

Hey, there! Arkansan here. Just to briefly defend my state, we are not “filled with crazy peeps”. We have our fair share, and unfortunately, some of them do run for public office. This dude is definitely in the top 3% of the crazy pile here though, and hopefully he’ll be hit by a large garbage truck sometime soon.
