Wisconsin couldn’t let the South stand alone

God Bless the Cheese State. They saw how their Southern countrymen were having to deal with hypocritical, lunatic twatwaffles and wanted them to know that the North could also produce some fine specimens of humanoid excrement. Therefore a Wisconsin state representative named Roger Rivard opened his yapper and displayed an awe inspiring level of misogyny and victim blaming.

Yes, in a magnificent moment of rape culture Roger Rivard explained that “his father warned him, “Some girls rape easy” – meaning that after the fact they can change what they say about whether sex was consensual”. You know, cause all those bitches be lying about rape all the damn time.

Realizing that what he said was politically perhaps not quite the thing, Rivard sniveled that the newspaper had taken him out of context. So he gave them MORE ‘context’:

“He also told me one thing, ‘If you do (have premarital sex), just remember, consensual sex can turn into rape in an awful hurry,’ ” Rivard said. “Because all of a sudden a young lady gets pregnant and the parents are madder than a wet hen and she’s not going to say, ‘Oh, yeah, I was part of the program.’ All that she has to say or the parents have to say is it was rape because she’s underage. And he just said, ‘Remember, Roger, if you go down that road, some girls,’ he said, ‘they rape so easy.’ “What the whole genesis of it was, it was advice to me, telling me, ‘If you’re going to go down that road, you may have consensual sex that night and then the next morning it may be rape.’ So the way he said it was, ‘Just remember, Roger, some girls, they rape so easy. It may be rape the next morning.’

Wow. That is some amazing context! You could not have made it more abundantly clear that girls, especially underage girls, will make up stories about rape at the drop of a hat just because they don’t want to be blamed for being the slut-bags they are. Gee willikers! We never, ever hear that bullshit promoted in rape culture! How very novel of you!

Sure, the reality is that “Research has shown that only roughly 2 to 8 percent of rape reports are untrue” but let’s not hesitate to assume that every time a girl, especially those underage whores, tells someone she has been raped she is just lying about it. After all, Roger Rivard’s dad has explained to him this is case. And if you can’t embrace Roger Rivard’s dad as the voice of authority, who can you trust?

When his comments started generating some negative press, which I am sure shocked him since he and all his buddies are completely aware bitches and hos lie about rape so why is everyone’s panties in a twist, his office released this glorious backpedaling:

“Sexual assault is a crime that unfortunately is misunderstood and my comments have the potential to be misunderstood as well,” his statement said. “Rape is a horrible act of violence. Sexual assault unfortunately often goes unreported to police. I have four daughters and three granddaughters and I understand the importance of making sure that awareness of this crime is taken very seriously.”

That man has a wife, 4 daughters, and 3 granddaughters. I am sure he would be livid if one of them were doubted about an assault (which I hope NEVER happens to them because I am not a monster) because THEY are not one of THOSE girls. The fact that he and others like him are the fetid agar that the mold of rape culture grows on, and thus he would have contributed the victim-blaming and disbelief his loved-one would have to deal with, would never occur to him.

What a clueless, patriarchal asshat.
