Who am I? After all those years of thearpy you would think I’d know! I’m going to have to think about this and do it when I feel witty.

You need to fill in your “About” page. Love the new header!

  2. Hey there Fokker! I had to stop part way through this post because I haven’t gotten my copy of MTT yet. Lucy owes me! But I’ll come back and read it after.

I subscribed to your site so I wouldn’t miss anymore Fokker wisdom!

  3. Oh heck. I posted in the wrong spot! Typical…

Fokker, I seriously think there’s a chance we may be long-lost sisters! Your comment today on LucyMarch.com about your spouse and change sound exactly like my own sweet bear. Is this guy an engineer or scientist by any chance?

Want to try to put together a Betty lunch this summer for the Hoosier Betties and any Midwest Betties who care to join us? Maybe meet up at a state park for a giant pitch-in picnic or something?

    Smiling at you,

  5. I see I’m going to have to hire a professional to glean more information on Ms. Fokker…

Still haven’t filled out your About section, I see. And no way to send you email, which might be a good idea from this blog, come to think of it. So I’m asking Julie to contact you to contact me. Is it harder to contact people now that we are so wired or easier?

Fokker, how can I subscribe to your site. Seriously, get the widget.

  9. Hi Betty,
I love your stuff. I was wondering if you might be interested in syndicating sometime? (workhorsepolitics.com).
    Best of luck!

  10. Hi! I’m so glad to have found your blog. I am a serious stay at home mom SUPER FEMINIST with two little girls. We are constantly dealing with all the stupid shit that people have to say regarding girls. My two all time favorites “Oh, are you going to try for a boy…to complete your family?” and “Oh, you must be so disappointed to be having another girl.”
So — there’s strength in numbers.

I was wondering if you would be willing to promote this petition on your blog:https://www.change.org/p/gap-inc-give-young-girls-the-same-quality-of-clothing-as-boys-by-reinforcing-the-knees-of-their-pants-as-well?just_created=true

As a rather involved aunt, I started this petition to get Old Navy (owned by Gap Inc.) to make their girls uniform pants of similar quality as their equally priced boys uniform pants. The girls uniform pants do not have reinforced knees. Which practically means I am regularly replacing my niece’s uniforms pants due to holes in the knees. It took me a couple years of replacing her pants to finally notice that her older brother’s uniform pants had reinforced knees – explaining why her brother’s pants did not need replacing as often. As a quasi-mother, I find this offensive and am looking for the support of others to help get this petition off the ground so it can gain Gap Inc.’s attention. Would you be willing to help me?
